New Delhi: Social networking site Facebook‘s CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg will be meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.
India is Facebook’s fastest growing market and the largest market outside of the United States. Facebook has over 110 million monthly active users in India, majority of whom access the social networking site on their mobile phones.
Zuckerberg will meet Modi to talk about how Facebook and the Indian government can collaborate on Internet.org. Interestingly, Modi is a keen supporter of social media as a means to reach out people.
Zuckerberg will be in Delhi today to attend the two-day-long Internet.org Summit (October 9-10) that aims to make Internet access affordable for people those who do not have it globally.
