India, China hold border talks


On Monday special representatives of India and China held their 18th round of border dispute talks in New Delhi.

First time NDA government engaged China on the border issue after national security advisor Ajit Doval was appointed as India’s special representative in November last year.
Chinese state councillor and former foreign minister Yang Jiechi,is also likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Ajit Doval on Tuesday.

The last round of talks took place last year, six months after Modi had raised serious concerns about incidents of transgressions along the India-China border during Chinese President Xi Jinping September visit to New Delhi.
